Master's Degree in Computer Science of NJIT at WPU

According to the agreement between William Paterson University and New Jersey Institute of Technology, students may take courses and earn a Master's Degree in Computer Science at WPU through NJIT's Extension Program. They can complete courses at WPU; all of these early evening and weekend courses are taught by NJIT or WPU CS faculty members. Course content, requirements, professors, and measures of achievement are identical to those used in NJIT Newark campus.

If WPU students enroll in an NJIT course on the WPU campus, they will be charged NJIT's undergraduate tuition and fee rate. WPU's flat fee for full-time study does not apply to the NJIT courses. At the time of registration, students must complete an NJIT graduate application.

Advantages for WPU Students:

  • Fast track graduate degree or graduate certificate.
  • Earn your Master's degree in just one year of full time study at NJIT.
  • Take 1-2 NJIT graduate courses at WPU while junior/senior, and use these to substitute for WPU electives.
  • NJIT courses are covered by financial aid if you are already WPU-eligible.
  • Tuition/fees for NJIT graduate courses at WPU = NJIT undergraduate per credit rate, based on residency status.
  • Afterwards, be automatically accepted to NJIT MS if GPA in each NJIT course is 3.0 or higher, and WPU overall cummulative GPA is 2.8 or higher.
  • Attend full time at NJIT and use a WPU 3.0 cummulative GPA to qualify for $2000 per semester fellowship.
  • Attend part-time at NJIT with this 6-credit jump start towards a MS degree.
  • No GRE is required.
